Filing an auto hail claim will not affect your rates.

A common misconception:

When your vehicle gets damaged by a hail storm, people are sometimes hesitant to call their insurance company and file a claim because they are scared that it will cause the rate they pay to be increased, costing them more money for their insurance premium. This is NOT the case however. Hail damage is considered an unavoidable act of nature and DOES NOT count against you. Your premium will not go up if you make a hail claim.

What to do after you’ve received hail damage on your car:

If your car got hit, the first step is to contact your insurance company and file a claim. They will normally have one of their adjusters take a first look at the car and give you an initial estimate. They may send you to one of their contracted body shops to have this estimate done, or they may tell you to wait a couple of weeks until they have a large “CAT Team” tent set up somewhere. Either way they do it, let them write that first estimate – but don’t let them make you feel like you have to let them do the repair right there. You can choose ANY shop you wish to use, and those large insurance-contracted shops often cut corners.
Once you have that first-draft estimate contact Pro Hail And Dent to schedule a day & time to drop-off the car at our shop and let us get your car back to beautiful again!
